Prepares meals for assigned detail of breakfast, lunch, dinner, banquets or buffets. Assures a quality of food product is always presented to our clients.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Include the following, but not limited to:
Wears uniform and name tag at all times.
Observes proper food handling techniques as required by hotel and health department.
Checks all banquet event orders to assist Chef in preparation.
Performs methods of preparation, portion control and garnishing of dishes according to standards.
Keeps all kitchen equipment and work area clean at all times.
Consistent in preparation of menu items per standard recipes.
Cleans all areas of their initial starting status at end of shift.
Cleans other equipment as directed by Chef.
Keeps freezer and cooler in order and proper stores and rotates foot items.
Promotes proper sanitation and safety for guests and employees at all times.
Performs shift duties in accurate and timely manner.
Fully understands all fire and emergency procedures.
Follows all company policies.
Maintains good personal hygiene habits.
Promotes positive guest and employee relations.

Works in areas of high temperatures and moisture.

Previous pantry or cooking experience required.
Lifts and carries moderately heavy weights (pots, pan, food)
Works in a hot environment.
Compensation: Dependent Upon Experience
